Manhattan

After two days of tournament play, your boys from Wichita State have made it to the Semi's. We play tomorrow at 9 against an undefeated Missouri team. We will need all the help we can. We beat Arkansas today 4-0 and St. Louis 2-1 yesterday.

Halloween should be fun down in aggieville. Getting ready to go out, here is a pic of my costume.

Have a fun and safe Halloween

Go Chiefs

Haha, this past Sunday myself and a few others went to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs get manhandled by the San Diego Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium. This was the first game this season I have been able to make and the first time I had personally seen the new renovations to Arrowhead. We left Wichita at 6 a.m. so we could tailgate and arrived at our destination just before 9; shortly following our arrival the fun began. We parked in the most expensive lot, where the best tailgating occurs and met some crazy fans who really go all out for every home game. These fans traveled from Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, and we even met a group from California. We walked around the lot sampling food from everyone, comparing different burgers, dogs, brats, chili, and even steaks. Needless to say, I was absolutely stuffed by the time we entered the stadium.

Being the poor college students that we are, we purchased tickets on the third tier. The stadium was packed so moving closer was difficult. Before the second half, like a gift from God, it started to rain. Within ten minutes of the rain, I was on the front row with my shirt off, drawing the attention of ALL the camera men. I must have made the jumbotron three times. Being so close was a lot of fun, but would have gladly stayed in my purchased seats in exchange for a Chiefs win. We stuck it out until the end of the game. The ride home was wet and miserable but was well worth it.

Our soccer team placed first in our region giving us the number one seed going into regionals. I will be in Manhattan next weekend for the tournament. We are leaving Friday afternoon. Wish us luck. I will let you know how we fare next week.

Crunch Time

Well, now that two of my trips are out of the way, its time for me to start focussing on some school work. Up until this point I really havent had very much to do in any of my classes, and have only had to pull one all-nighter. This week will be crazy as I have 2 tests and 3 projects to work on. My schedule with soccer will be getting pretty busy and need to get the projects done before I leave for both regionals and nationals. Regionals is the 30th through the 1st in Manhattan, KS and nationals is November 18th through the 22 in Phoenix, AR. I am reading chapters for my Men and Masculinities class now, will post again soon.

Midterms

We are now approaching the half-way point of the semester and midterms are upon us. I have one tomorrow in my Prescription to Exercise. This one will be difficult as I do not know what his tests are like because we haven't had any. In fact, we have only done two labs so far. The grade for this class relies solely on how I do on the midterm and final. I really need to go study some more.

I am going to Arkansas this weekend, Illinois the following, and Manhattan the next. I will let you know how these trips turn out.
