NFL Kickoff

Sunday, the best day of the week due to the NFL. I love sitting on my couch or going to Larry Buds and watching every game. My team is the Kansas City Chiefs and thought they had a chance to beat the Pats, although the result was a loss, it sets a promising season. Croyle should only be out for a bit and Huard is not a bad back up. I think the Chiefs make it to the playoffs in a wild card position and record of 10-6. Call me crazy but if they limit their stupid mistakes, they have a shot.

Let me know who your team is and will give you my respected opinion on them.

We’re in the middle of Fall 2008 Rush. Yesterday, we had our famous “Barbeque and Sports” event (see http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=27742522190). Since this is St. Louis territory, most of the brothers and rushees were outdoors enjoying the sports and the fantastic weather long before the end of the Rams-Eagles game. It was heartbreaking. Is this the St. Louis Rams that won the SuperBowl nine years ago??? The handful of brothers and guests from Kansas City stayed indoors to watch the Chiefs-Patriots game. Fortunately, I am maniacal about baseball and hockey – not football – so I’m doing better today than lots of the other Missouri Mu boyz. Tonight’s rush event is Monday Night Football catered by the best pizzeria in town. Today, the weather is cold and downpour rain, so it should be a good indoor rush event regardless of which teams are playing or the outcome. I’ll write to you thoughtfully soon, Ryan.

This was sent to me by someone from Kansas City (the mother of two of the Missouri Mu brothers during the 1990’s), although admittedly the family is originally from Cleveland so I think their fondness for the Browns has never diminished: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=11430320323&id=36106707&index=11.
